Monday: January 9: Black Nazarene Feast
This particular day was a bit of a hassle because our phone service provider, Globe, shut down all connections in the feast-affected area. Since I was in school, my phone still had signal, however, my whole family didn’t because we live in Manila. Basically, I had epic trouble trying to contact them. In the end, I had to call our landline which will most probably result to extra charge on my next phone bill. Ugh.
Anyway, Gella and I went to Robinson Ermita and watched Sherlock Holmes 2! Spontaneous hang out cause she suddenly visited school! Yeayuh for spontaneity! The movie was awesome, btw. My eyes were glued to the screen the entire time! I loved the witty conversations, cinematography, etc! Great cast, as always!
After the movie, I tried calling my family again and I still couldn’t contact them at all. I called our landline and my aunt said that my other aunt left the house about an hour ago and should be in the mall by then. We were to meet at the mall’s food court.
I was waiting there for about an hour so I doodled this on my planner cause I was hella bored the whole time. I was really worried that I wasn’t gonna be picked up, and was actually contemplating whether I should totes go to the concierge and page my aunt to get me…. like a lost kid.
I was able to go home safe and sound, but not before I discovered a new shop there in the mall! I forgot the name but they have cute stuff! Will have to get back on you on that one! :P I shall keep you guys posted! :)
P.S. Regarding the feast, the reason why the phone connections were shut down was because there’s a reported bomb threat.
