So guys… Remember that picture of a silver miniature I posted about a few months ago?
I actually finished painting it! I finished it within my Christmas break and I tell you now, it’s one of the hardest and most tedious works that I’ve ever done.
This miniature is half the size of my thumb, which isn’t long at all. It was really hard to paint the face. It took me about an entire day to finish painting this miniature! My neck was hurting real bad! Hahaha!
However, this miniature actually made me practice my brush handling. Because of how small it is, I had to make sure that when I paint one section, I wouldn’t or shouldn’t touch another section. The long hours of trying to retouch some of the details made my brush handling more precise considering how my hands can’t stay still to save my life.
Anyway, I forgot to post it then cause I was stuck with kitchen duty the whole Christmas break. Gelo reminded me about it yesterday in BIZ2 class. XD
I’m contemplating whether I should add more stuff on her cape. Like, maybe some symbols or pattern, but I dunno. I’m afraid I’ll ruin it. D:
It’s my first time to try out painting miniatures. I thought I’ll be able to finish painting it in like an hour or 2! Hahaha… no.
You guys should try it, too. It’s good practice and it might be an interesting new hobby. :)
Thanks to Gelo for lending me this miniature to paint on! I shall return it to you when I see you next week! XD Together with your book! :P
